Where does the name roeni come from? Well my surname is Roe, as for the ni there is a kind of reasoning behind that, but I won't go into it now because most people look at me with a blank expression and say "oh". What makes roeni different? Lots of things! You don't pick from a catalogue, you don't pay what I call wedding tax, I never produce the same design twice... I suppose the main difference is that roeni bridges the gap between a design sudio and the public. I like to devise concepts for people and design ranges that complement your vision of your event from the initial invitation, through to the event and then the thank you cards. What is the process? Before I start work with clients I always ask that they complete a design brief, from this I build a moodboard for the event and develop the samples. Therefore it's really important that my clients give as much information as possible with regards to their style, themes and ideas so I can make the designs as personal as possible. I then work with my clients to achieve a final design and any other stationery they require for their event. What advice have you got for people who are planning their events? I am always amazed when I attend events that the music played very often hasn't evolved from when I would slide on my knees across a dancefloor. Unfortunately, the same can be said for event stationery, people choose the tried and tested 80's classics. I encourage people to be individuals and to express themselves through their stationery and events. Afterall, you are a celebrity at your own event! What is your favourite thing about roeni? I love that the designs are designed specifically for people and not repeated, I'd get so bored if I just churned out an annual collection and had to make the same thing over and over again! I like the fact we are always moving and progressing. I also love working with my clients and always feel a little bit sad when the event is over. My goal is always to become people's family stationer, being there for them all year round. What can roeni do for you? Turn your ideas into a reality. Assist you with carrying a theme through your entire event and ensure that your stationery is unique to you and your event. In literal terms, save the date, day invitations, evening invitations, reply cards, place cards, orders of service/the day, table names, table plans, thank you cards, posters, banners and a few random things that I usually think of along the way when working on an event!
